From the opening sequence we can tell the genre of the film is obviously science fiction because of all the gadgets in the household which is not usual for a normal house.

there are lots of clocks being shown in at the start of the film, this links in with the name of the film (Back To The Future).

we watched the opening sequence of toy story 2 it only introduces one character, buzz lightyear and does not give the audience any idea of what the film may be about. The opening sequence is very different to the actual film as the toys are playing a game and it just shows the game and not the setting of the film or any pother information. This if effective as when it does introduce andy's room it draws you in and makes you want to watch on to know what will happen next.
